You may have heard that the Workers Comp Is A Right campaign group is holding a week of action starting December 12th with the demand that the government “Make Ontario More Affordable for Injured & Ill Workers and Our Allies”.There will be two kick-off events on December 12th, one online and one in person. We are hoping local groups can hold smaller events throughout the week.
We are asking that each local group help in a few key ways:
1. Endorse the attached letter, and send it to workerscompisaright@gmail.com
2. Encourage any friends/allies of your injured worker group (whether it is individuals or organizations) to endorse the letter.
3. Make a plan to deliver the letter to your MPP sometime during the week of December 12th.
4. Join the online kick-off event on December 12th (details TBA) to share your list of endorsements and your plans to deliver the letters.
Below, you will find a sample “blurb” you can use to request endorsements from friends/allies/other groups. The more the merrier!

On December 12th, the Ontario Network of Injured Workers’ Groups is going to present the Minister of Labour with a letter outlining our core demands to make Ontario more affordable for injured & ill workers and our allies.
We are asking for interested allies to endorse our demands and – if you are interested – to add your own affordability demands to ours, so we can amplify each other’s voices.
To endorse our letter and add your own thoughts, just open either the attached Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat file. On page 2, add your name and contact information (or the name and contact information of your organization).
We know that there are many important steps the Province must take to address the current affordability crisis beyond just meeting our demands for injured & ill workers. If you or your group have demands you would like to add alongside ours, simply type them into the second box on page 2.
